We are very excited to see everyone return after this very awful year of Covid-19. We expect very competitive teams this season with a great coaching staff leading the charge. As always, Steelers hockey is all about family and sportsmanship. As we continue this tradition, we need all of you to support your local organization. Please feel free to refer new families and contact myself or one of the Directors if you have any questions.

Thank you for your loyalty and we can’t wait to see those smiling faces back on the ice and in the bleachers. Our Board contact information is on nccyha.com as well as registration details. Sign-up today!

Sincerely,

End of 2020-2021 season letter

Dear Steelers Families:

As the season comes to a close with final practice times finishing up this week and games ending by March 31st, we reflect on a very difficult time in our hockey history.

During the mid-1980’s our organization was born and immediately faced adversity before finally securing a home at Fredonia State University. Now during the Steelers first pandemic experience we once again had to find a home, although temporary, we fought our way through adversity to keep our identity strong in Jamestown.

On behalf of our Board of Directors and Alumni, we want to thank all the families who stayed loyal and battled through these challenging times. We promise to continue to work hard on keeping the Steelers strong and getting back home to Fredonia. We encourage everyone to spread the word welcoming families back from their absence. Everyone understands the hard decisions that came during the pandemic and we wish for everyone’s safe return to the NCCYHA. We have seen some great success with the current Steelers teams and we will gain even more strength as our numbers get back to normal. We will be making announcements about coaching assignments, divisions, modified hockey, and tryouts in the near future so please stay tuned. Our website and Facebook page will host all new information as it becomes available.

Lastly, with the annual spaghetti dinner fundraiser canceled, it is no surprise we are forced to cancel year end parties and banquets. We can all “virtually” raise a glass and toast to next year seeing everyone back happy and healthy as we watch our children (hopefully from the bleachers) take the ice.

Truly Yours in Hockey,

Shaun V. Fadale
NCCYHA  President
